If you do your own oil changes, you’ll certainly appreciate the 1” nut that’s welded to the canister for quick and easy removal; if you don’t do your own oil changes, you should know that this feature can reduce the amount of force your mechanic needs to remove your oil filter (and therefore reduce chances they’ll damage something like your oil pan in the process!) The nut also has a drilled hole for safety wire attachment.
