 | The C4 generation kicked off a huge redesign for the Corvette in 1984. The Corvette officially "skipped" a model year - 1983 - both because the first of the C4 generation was behind schedule and met the new 1984 safety standards, so GM decided to offer the newest Corvette in March 1983 to the public. The C4 had a long and distinguished run, including 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, and 1996 model years. The C4 was available with a total of 5 different engines including all options, from the early L83, to the L98, the LT-1, LT-4, and last but not least the powerful LT-5. Check out our collection of C4s both mint and modded and we're sure you'll agree this was a great generation of 'Vettes - and when you're done, read more about C4 Corvette history. | | |
